PUBLICATION NOTES / SEPTEMBER 2026

How we evaluate email testing tools

We evaluate tools by the question they answer, the evidence they provide and the operational work required to use the result.

Five evaluation questions

Our framework is a decision aid, not a numerical product ranking.

  • What exactly is measured?
  • Which part of the sending workflow must be reproduced?
  • What uncertainty remains after the result?
  • Who can act on the findings?
  • What are the complete billing and data-handling terms?

What would count as a hands-on test

A future independent experiment must disclose the sending route, sample, dates, controlled variables and limitations. A vendor demonstration or a copied screenshot does not qualify. No such experiment has been performed for this release.

Evidence notes

Commercial pages identify what was checked, what was not tested and what the reader must verify. Recommendations are conditional on the reader’s actual problem, not a promise of improved delivery.
