What the workflow is designed to observe
GlockApps describes sending a message to test addresses at different mailbox providers and reporting whether the copies appear in inbox, spam or another observed state. Its current help material lists manual, smart and automatic test modes. This is controlled seed evidence, not a census of your subscribers.

Manual tests suit bounded investigations. Smart tests use a connected mailbox and proxy-address workflow according to the provider. Automatic tests repeat a configured message on a schedule and may support alerts. Confirm current access, credit use and security requirements before connecting an account.
| Mode | Potential fit | Verify before use |
|---|---|---|
| Manual | Pre-send baseline or incident investigation | Identifier, seed list and credit definition. |
| Smart | Simplified repeat sending through a connected mailbox | Permissions, forwarding route and data handling. |
| Automatic | Stable transactional message monitored over time | Schedule, alert criteria and credit consumption. |
Interpret placement without overreach
A provider-level difference is a direction for investigation. It does not prove every subscriber at that provider experienced the same outcome. Preserve the sample, route and timestamp. Compare actual campaign signals separately and avoid presenting a seed result as a guaranteed delivery rate.
- Label the result as seed placement.
- Keep authentication and content warnings separate.
- Investigate missing data before retesting.
- Change one variable where practical.
Decide whether recurring testing is justified
Recurring use has value when a team owns the alerts and can act on a material change. If nobody can inspect the sending route or DNS, automation may only produce unattended reports. Estimate the test cadence and confirm the current plan allowance before purchase.
A question worth asking
Is Inbox Insight the same as an email spam score?
No. Inbox placement observations and message or filter scores are different evidence types. Review each section of the report according to what it actually measures.
Evidence Notes
Checked: Public documentation linked below and the decision framework described on this page.
Not independently tested: Product accuracy, paid account workflows, support or delivery outcomes.
Reader should verify: Current terms and suitability for the actual sending setup. Never change production DNS from a generic example.
Last checked: September 2026.
